Practical B2B prospecting tips for exhibitors and visitors
Turn contacts into pipeline with these executable steps:
- Preselect target companies from the exhibitor and attendee lists and schedule meetings ahead of the show.
- Use demo slots to validate technical claims and gather performance data on site.
- Tailor messaging by segment. For C&I and utility scale focus on integration costs and scalability. For residential highlight certifications and after-sales services.
- Prepare concise technical one-pagers and project case studies with clear metrics. Short documents speed decision making.
- Implement immediate follow-up workflows. Book validation calls and send time-bound proposals after each meeting.
On the ground, rotate booth staff between demos and meetings and rely on digital tools to capture lead data and next-step commitments.
Recommendations for exhibitors
Given the presence of EPCs and utilities, prioritize demonstrations that show system interoperability and lifecycle costs. Engage with startups visible at the show for potential technology partnerships and pilot projects.
