Commercial beekeeping in Central Europe runs on a tight calendar of fairs and technical meetings. The 57th edition of the Fachtagung arrives from 12 to 14 February 2027 in Wels, combining trade stands, workshops and technical sessions for professional and part-time beekeepers.
Dates and venue at Messe Wels
Fachtagung Österr. Erwerbsimkerbund 2027 is scheduled at Halle 21 in Messe Wels. Friday 12 February operates as a workshop day from 08:30 to 18:00 with no trade fair. Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 combine the trade exhibition and conference with hours 08:30 to 18:00 and 08:30 to 16:00 respectively. The venue address is Messe Wels GmbH, Halle 21, Messeplatz 1, A-4600 Wels.
Hall 21 facilities and capacity
Halle 21 provides 4,000 square metres of exhibitor space, a main lecture hall with 1,200 seats and four smaller rooms for focused training and talks. The venue includes 2,000 visitor parking spaces, on-site catering and a trade fair nursery service. The whole exhibition area is barrier free.
Trade stands, workshops and programme structure
The event mixes an on-site exhibition of apiculture supplies with a programme of lectures and hands-on workshops. The format separates a dedicated workshop day from the two days of exhibition and conference, enabling suppliers and visitors to target practical sessions or commercial meetings as needed.
Commercial outreach and practical advice for exhibitors
Plan meetings ahead and prioritise the Saturday morning window when exhibitors are present and attendees attend sessions. Prepare concise technical sheets and lists of models or stock codes to speed up quotations. If you intend to buy equipment eligible for subsidies, submit the digital funding application via the AMA digital platform before payment. Purchases decided on the day require the funding application to be filed no later than the purchase date. On-site staff will provide guidance for first-time applicants to the DFP system.
Entrances, detailed timetable and ticket sales are published by the organiser. For programme details and ticketing consult the official site at http://www.erwerbsimkerbund.at/fachtagung
