Delete your DataOrigin account and data

This page explains how to close your DataOrigin account and request the deletion of your data. The same account works for the web platform (dataorigin.es/app) and for the DataOrigin Lead Scanner mobile app, so these steps apply to both.

Option 1. From the web app

  1. Go to dataorigin.es/app/settings and sign in (Settings menu).
  2. Open the Account tab and scroll down to the Close account block.
  3. Click Close account and confirm in the window that appears.

When you confirm, your account is closed: access is disabled right away and you receive a confirmation email. Closing the account does not delete your personal data. To delete it, follow option 2.

Option 2. By email

Write to info@dataorigin.es from the email address you registered with, with the subject "Delete account". If you write from another address, we will ask for one more detail to check that the account is yours. We close the account, delete the data listed below and confirm the deletion by email within 30 days at most. This is the route for the right to erasure.

What is deleted when you ask by email

  • Access to the account, on the web and in the mobile app.
  • Profile data: name, email, phone, professional profile, ideal customer and preferences.
  • Usage data linked to your account, such as saved searches, bookmarks and the mobile app usage counters (opens, scans, exports and trade show name).

What is kept

  • Billing and payment data (invoices, amounts and tax details). Commercial and tax law requires us to keep them for 6 years. They are blocked and used only to meet those obligations.
  • Anonymized product usage data, which does not identify you.

Lead Scanner mobile app data

The contacts you scan with Lead Scanner are stored only on your phone. DataOrigin has no copy. To delete them, remove the contacts inside the app or uninstall it. Closing the account does not erase them from the phone, because they exist only on your device.
