Northern Rhine-Westphalia hosts a major holiday fair that gathers motorhomes, caravans and travel equipment in Essen each February.
Dates and venue in Essen
Reise + Camping 2027 runs from 24 to 28 February at Messe Essen. Opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 10 to 18. The organizers publish an exhibitor list and a venue map to plan visits and on-site meetings.
What the fair showcases
The event pairs tourist destinations with a broad offer of vehicles and mobile travel equipment. Key thematic areas listed include VANLIFE Lounge, Skandinavien Welt, Erlebnis Kreuzfahrten, Themenbereich Offroad- und Expeditionsfahrzeuge, Wandern + Reisen and Vermieterwelt. There is also a Start-up Area and a Reisebühne for presentations and product introductions relevant to trade buyers.
Offerings range from caravans and motorhomes to tents, mobile homes and camping furniture and accessories, enabling conversations with campsite operators, rental firms and outdoor gear distributors.
How to prepare B2B outreach at the fair
- Segment the exhibitor list and mark VANLIFE, offroad and equipment suppliers as top targets for demos and procurement talks.
- Book meetings in advance through the exhibitor contact tools and the Online Service Center available on the event site.
- Prepare commercial packages for fleets and rental companies: technical sheets, customization options and service packages help convert inquiries into orders.
- Organize short, repeatable demonstrations at your stand to filter qualified leads efficiently when showing vehicles or bulky equipment.
